The only thing I do not understand is how a positively charged Ion like Na+ is then creating a negative pressure. Is it the same for a negatively charged Ion? No matter the solute it creates the pull because of its charge? I ask because I am trying to make sure I understand these concepts for IV fluids. Crystalloids versus colloids, as well as having a stronger understanding of albumins effect on pressure as it relates to third spacing and renal function. I really want a strong understanding of the building blocks here. Thank you for your lectures!
